If you leave Hvar by boat towards St. Nedjelja, after the coves Dubovica and Piscena you will find Crvene stijene (Red rocks) a natural phenomenon of vertically disintegrated reddish cliffs which steeply drop into the sea. The unusual play of the natural force of the sea and rain has left its mark in the layers of limestone creating an impressive masterpiece of nature.
Approximatelly 8 km east from the city of Hvar on the south shore of the island of Hvar is situated the picturesque cove Dubovica, a well-known picnic area with a spacious pebble beach and interesting underwater landscape. Renowned for its long countryside tradition it offers a vacation far away from the city noise with a view of the countryside house of the Kasandric family from the 18th / 19th century.
