Military Tunnels on Brac Island
Military Tunnels on Brac Island

One of the most attractive secrets of Dalmatia are military tunnels, built and used as an important military base during the WW2 which have recently been turned into one of the most attractive visit points on Brac Island. Tunnels were originally used for safe harbouring special forces submarines and smaller navy vessels, while today, they are used for fisherman’s safe harbouring during sudden storms and are visited by many tourists and military enthusiasts. Both tunnels are clearly seen as long narrow inlets located close to the large stone cave Blaca Hermitage site, a unique UNESCO protected monument on the Croatian coast.

Bol (Zlatni Rat Beach)
Bol (Zlatni Rat Beach)

Visit one of the most popular beaches in Europe – the famous Zlatni Rat beach, located on the Brac Island. Famous for its nature, Zlatni Rat attracts visitors from all over the world. The shape of the half-kilometre beach continually changes (albeit ever so slightly), forming the most unusual shape, and for two years in a row, Zlatni Rat was #3 on the list of the Best Beach Destinations in Europe. Zlatni Rat beach is sometimes referred to as the Golden Cape or Golden Horn beach and is regularly named as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the area, relax on the beach or taste local food in a nearby restaurant.

Town Vrboska (Hvar island)
Town Vrboska (Hvar island)

Vrboska, the smallest town on the sunny island Hvar, is special because of its geographical location in the depth of the bay, untouched pine forest and cultural sights. Vrboska’s other name, “Little Venice”, comes from the fact that there is a beautiful little island in the middle of the bay connected to the land with bridges. It owes its charm to the typical Mediterranean popular architecture, old town houses with characteristics of gothic, renaissance and baroque style, the sacral spirit of the ancient church buildings, but also to the luxurious modern villas. Healthy food from the surrounding fields and fresh fish, together with olive oil and aromatical spices will be a unique gourmand experience. A glass of wine of the famous Hvar wine sorts will give the final touch for the perfect cuisine experience.

Town Jelsa (Hvar island)
Town Jelsa (Hvar island)

Jelsa, located on the northern side of the island, is mild, clean and open hearted to the guests and travelers. The cultural and historical treasury of Jelsa town and Hvar island consists of numerous monuments situated in churches, parks, caves in the field, and ancient and middle age squares. Nice gravel beaches surrounded by pine forest, which offer you the necessary refreshment and shade during the summer heat, in bays and capes near Jelsa, are perfect spots for swimming and enjoying crystal blue waters. Discover this historic town and Hvar island as a sunny garden surrounded by clear sea and covered by a crystal blue sky!
